unsicher, ob eine Stahlkonstruktion in der Gr\u00f6\u00dfenordnung realisierbar war. Er wurde aus Stahl auch deswegen gebaut, um zu beweisen, dass mit einer sinnvollen Statik und relativ wenig Material dauerhaft stabil gebaut werden kann. Wie man sieht, steht der von 1887 bis 1889 von Gustav Eiffel gebaute Eisenfachwerkturm mit einer H\u00f6he von 324 immer noch und ist das Wahrzeichen von Paris.<\/p>\n<p>Von der Errichtung des Eiffelturms bis zur Gegenwart sind viele Jahrzehnte vergangen und die Leichtbautechnik f\u00fcr Stahlkonstruktionen hat sich weiter entwickelt. Vom Gr\u00fcndungsunternehmen Schmeing wurden im Laufe der Zeit verst\u00e4rkt Stahlkonstruktionen f\u00fcr landwirtschaftliche und gewerblich genutzte Geb\u00e4ude hergestellt. Daher entstand 1978 im S\u00fcdlohner Gewerbegebiet &#8222;Weseker Weg&#8220; ein neues Betriebsgeb\u00e4ude f\u00fcr die Fertigung von Stahlhallen und sonstigen Stahlkonstruktionen. Ob sich die damals verantwortlichen im Unternehmen Schmeing an der Erfolgsgeschichte des aus Stahl gebauten Eiffelturms orientiert haben, ist nicht bekannt. Jedenfalls war man dem Werkstoff Stahl verbunden und erkannte, dass Stahlhallen enorme Vorteile im Vergleich zu Massivbauhallen haben.<\/p>\n<p>Im Laufe der Jahre hat das Unternehmen bundesweit und dar\u00fcber hinaus viele Stahlhallenkonstruktionen gebaut f\u00fcr Lagerhallen, Fabrikhallen, Werkstattgeb\u00e4ude, Autoh\u00e4user, Waschhallen, Kaufh\u00e4user und landwirtschaftliche Objekte.<\/p>\n<p>Das Leistungsspektrum umfasst neben Stahlhallenkonstruktionen Lichtkuppeln und Lichtb\u00e4nder, T\u00fcren und Tore, Industrietreppen und Gel\u00e4nder und auch die Durchf\u00fchrung von komplexen und anspruchsvollen Umbauma\u00dfnahmen. Qualifikation, Zuverl\u00e4ssigkeit und Innovation sind die Kernkompetenzen des Unternehmens. Vor diesem Hintergrund erfolgte die Zertifizierung nach DIN 1090-2 f\u00fcr tragende Bauteile und Baus\u00e4tze f\u00fcr Stahltragwerke in den Ausf\u00fchrungsklassen EXC1 bis EXC3. Klaus Honsel aus Rhede-Vardingholt, der bisher bereits Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer der Schmeing Stahlbau GmbH war, ist als Gesellschafter in das Unternehmen eingetreten.
