Denkm\u00e4ler sind zu sch\u00fctzen, zu pflegen, sinnvoll zu nutzen. Denkm\u00e4ler sind Sachen, Mehrheiten von Sachen und Teile von Sachen, an deren Erhaltung und Nutzung ein \u00f6ffentliches Interesse besteht. Ein \u00f6ffentliches Interesse besteht, wenn die Sachen bedeutend f\u00fcr die Geschichte des Menschen und f\u00fcr St\u00e4dte und Siedlungen sind.<\/div>\n
So lautet der auszugsweise Text im Gesetz zum Schutz und zur Pflege der Denkm\u00e4ler im Lande Nordrhein \u2013 Westfalen. (Denkmalschutzgesetz \u2013 DSchG \u2013 vom 11. M\u00e4rz 1980.)<\/div>\n

Die Gemeinde S\u00fcdlohn als Untere Denkmalbeh\u00f6rde f\u00fchrt die Denkmalliste. Diese enth\u00e4lt eine gro\u00dfe Anzahl historischer Geb\u00e4ude, H\u00f6fe, Denkm\u00e4ler, Wegkreuze und Bildst\u00f6cke. Nachstehend f\u00fchren wir die gef\u00fchrten Denkm\u00e4ler in Kurzform auf.<\/div>\n
