Drais absolvierte mit dem Laufrad Entfernungen doppelt so schnell wie ein Fu\u00dfg\u00e4nger. In der Folgezeit entwickelten sich Hochr\u00e4der mit Hinterradantrieb und\u00a0 &#8222;Sicherheitsniederr\u00e4der&#8220;. Die Erfindung des Luftreifens im Jahre 1888 durch J.B. Dunlop war ein Meilenstein zum modernen Fahrrad. Viele andere entwicklungsschritte folgten: vom Kettenantrieb bis zur heutigen anspruchsvollen Technik.<\/p>\n<p>Im Jahre 1919 er\u00f6ffneten Hubert und Johanna Tel\u00f6ken am Burgring in Oeding einen Fahrrad- und N\u00e4hmaschinenhandel. Die Entwicklung der letzten Jahre war und ist gepr\u00e4gt von Pedelecs. Diese R\u00e4der bieten Unterst\u00fctzung, wenn der Fahrer in die Pedale tritt. In den ersten Jahren nach der Entwicklung waren E-R\u00e4der \u00fcberwiegend der \u00e4lteren Generation vorbehalten und hatten ein entsprechendes Image.
