das Sehen &#8211; geh\u00f6rt zu den f\u00fcnf klassischen Sinne des Menschen. Die F\u00e4higkeit des Auges, Gegenst\u00e4nde in der N\u00e4he und Ferne wahrnehmen zu k\u00f6nnen, ist ein Wunder der Evolution. Das Sehen ist zweifellos ein wichtiger Sinn. \u00dcber die Augen werden rund 85 &#8211; 90 % der Sinneseindr\u00fccke wahrgenommen.<\/p>\n<p>Im Alter ab etwa 40 bis 45 Jahren gibt es langsam kommend ein Problem: die Schrift der Speisekarte im Restaurant oder der Zeitung zu Hause ist zu klein. Oder sind die Arme zu kurz? Beides ist wahrscheinlich nicht richtig, die Altersweitsichtigkeit hat begonnen. Der Trost: die Altersweitsichtigkeit ist keine Krankheit, sondern ein nat\u00fcrlicher Prozess im Verlauf des menschlichen Lebens. Mit zunehmenden Alter wird sich das Problem auch in mittleren Entfernungen bemerkbar machen. Der Prozess der Ver\u00e4nderung der Sehf\u00e4higkeit kann nicht geheilt werden, wohl aber korrigiert werden, wie andere Fehlsichtigkeiten auch. In Deutschland ist fast jeder zweite Mensch auf eine Sehhilfe angewiesen. Jetzt bedarf es der Hilfe eines Augenoptikers.<\/p>\n<p>In S\u00fcdlohn ist das der Augenoptikermeister Georg Mester, der sein Handwerk von der Pike auf gelernt hat. Georg Mester, Jahrgang 1955, hat urspr\u00fcnglich den Beruf des Uhrmachers gelernt. Berufliche Erfahrung sammelte Georg Mester bei Augenoptik Weskamp in Coesfeld, bevor er dann 1986 die Meisterpr\u00fcfung im Optikerhandwerk ablegte. Als Augenoptikermeister f\u00fchrte er als Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer den Filialbetrieb in Billerbeck. Das Ziel von Georg Mester war die Selbstst\u00e4ndigkeit. Am 1. September 1999 konnte er sein Ziel verwirklichen mit der Er\u00f6ffnung seines eigenen Optiker-Meisterbetriebes an der Kirchstra\u00dfe, im Zentrum von S\u00fcdlohn. Gut f\u00fcr S\u00fcdlohn und deren Bewohner, ausw\u00e4rtige Fahrten in andere St\u00e4dte und Gemeinden f\u00fcr die Versorgung mit Sehhilfen sind nicht mehr notwendig.<\/p>\n<p>Der Beruf des Augenoptikers ist enorm vielseitig und geh\u00f6rt zu den wichtigsten Handwerksberufen. Nicht ohne Grund besteht im Augenoptikerhandwerk Meisterzwang. Der Beruf verbindet viele Bereiche der Technik und Beratung. Georg Mester mit seiner Doppelausbildung deckt alle Themen rund um das Sehen ab. Jeder Kunde bekommt eine individuelle L\u00f6sung, das gilt f\u00fcr erfahrene Brillentr\u00e4ger genauso wie f\u00fcr Kunden mit Erstberatung.
