Im Alter von 25 Jahren absolvierte Alfons Thesing nach Lehr- und Gesellenjahren im Jahre 1954 die Meisterschule und \u00fcbernahm als Tischlermeister das Gesch\u00e4ft seines Vaters. Wenige Jahre sp\u00e4ter &#8211; im Jahre 1960 &#8211; zog er von Marbeck nach S\u00fcdlohn und heiratete Elisabeth Thesing, geborene K\u00f6nning. Fenster, T\u00fcren, Wandverkleidungen, Dachst\u00fchle und vieles mehr geh\u00f6rte zum Leistungspaket. In den 1960er und 1970er Jahren war es \u00fcblich und selbstverst\u00e4ndlich, dass der \u00f6rtliche Handwerker im Tischlergewerbe auch der Sarglieferant war und Bestattungen durchf\u00fchrte. Bis heute ist das Bestattungswesen eine S\u00e4ule der Unternehmensleistung.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr den 1962 geborenen Sohn Ewald Thesing war es selbstverst\u00e4ndlich, auch den Beruf des Vaters und Gro\u00dfvaters zu erlernen. Jedoch nicht im elterlichen Betrieb, sondern in Borken bei der Firma Josef Baumeister, die Fenster, Haust\u00fcren und Winterg\u00e4rten herstellten. Nach der Ausbildung arbeitete Ewald Thesing bei dem Unternehmen Tenbrink Ladeneinrichtungen in Stadtlohn. Mit den Erfahrungen mehrj\u00e4hriger T\u00e4tigkeiten bei Baumeister und Tenbrink entwickelte er das elterliche Unternehmen weiter zu einem renommierten und anerkannten Betrieb f\u00fcr die Herstellung und Montage von Holzfenster- und Haust\u00fcren, Dachst\u00fchle, dem Trockenbau und Terrassen\u00fcberdachungen und Carports.<\/p>\n<p>Fenster- und Haust\u00fcren werden auch geliefert von den gro\u00dfen \u00fcberregional t\u00e4tigen industriellen Herstellern. Hier tritt das Unternehmen Thesing nicht als Wettbewerber auf. Vielmehr liegt die Spezialisierung auf individuellen Anfertigungen, die den W\u00fcnschen der Architekten, Bauherren und Renovierer entsprechen. Massivholzverarbeitung ist eine St\u00e4rke des Unternehmens. Man wei\u00df mit dem Werkstoff Holz umzugehen, auch die Mitarbeiter k\u00f6nnen auf langj\u00e4hrige Erfahrung zur\u00fcckblicken. Dass dabei die wichtigen Merkmale f\u00fcr Einbruchhemmung und W\u00e4rmeschutz nach Wunsch der Kunden ber\u00fccksichtigt werden k\u00f6nnen, ist selbstverst\u00e4ndlich.<\/p>\n<p>Wer durch die Wohngebiete der Gemeinde S\u00fcdlohn, Oeding und der umliegenden St\u00e4dte f\u00e4hrt, erkennt, dass Garagen vielfach nicht gebaut werden, sondern Carport-Stellpl\u00e4tze. Ungez\u00e4hlte dieser Stellpl\u00e4tze in allen Variationen wurden von der Zimmerei Thesing geliefert. Das gilt auch f\u00fcr Dachst\u00fchle, die in verschiedensten Konstruktionen und Variationen gefertigt und montiert werden. Als Richtmeister kennt Ewald Thesing die Traditionen der Richtfeste.
