Das Henricus-Hospital wurde am 23. November 1897 eingeweiht und versorgte die Bev\u00f6lkerung in S\u00fcdlohn. Im Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde das Geb\u00e4ude durch die Fliegerangriffe am 22. M\u00e4rz 1945 zerst\u00f6rt und nach dem Krieg in vereinfachter Form wieder aufgebaut. 1954 erfolgte ein Erweiterungsbau. Das Henricus-Hospital war Bezirkskrankenhaus f\u00fcr S\u00fcdlohn, Oeding, Weseke, Burlo und Borkenwirthe. 1975 wurde das Krankenhaus aus dem Krankenhausbedarfsplan des Landes NRW herausgenommen. 1990 wurden die Geb\u00e4ude verkauft, ein Teil wurde abgerissen, der Rest wurde umfangreich renoviert und umgebaut.<\/p>\n<p>Dieter Siems und Bernd Buderus er\u00f6ffneten in den umgebauten R\u00e4umen im Jahre 1994 das Senioren- und Kurzzeitpflegeheim St. Niklas. Beide sind examinierte Pflegekr\u00e4fte und haben Erfahrung gesammelt. Bernd Buderus leitete bis zur Verselbstst\u00e4ndigung die Sozialpflegerische Einrichtung &#8222;Haus an der Berkel&#8220; in Stadtlohn. Dieter Siems war in der gleichen Einrichtung Pflegedienstleiter. Neben einer geh\u00f6rigen Portion Engagement brachten beide das notwendige Know how mit.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3210\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.heimatverein-suedlohn.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3210\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3210\" src=\"http:\/\/www.heimatverein-suedlohn.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Pflegeteam St. Niklas\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.heimatverein-suedlohn.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.heimatverein-suedlohn.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2-450x300.jpg 450w, http:\/\/www.heimatverein-suedlohn.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/2.jpg 650w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3210\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pflegeteam St. Niklas<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Das Pflegeheim Sankt Niklas verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber 32 Pl\u00e4tze f\u00fcr die station\u00e4re Pflege, wobei 8 Betten als sogenannte eingestreute Kurzzeitpflegebetten genehmigt sind. Die Erweiterung der Bettenkapazit\u00e4t auf 49 Pl\u00e4tze steht kurz bevor. Das ganze Leistungsspektrum der Pflege kommt zur Anwendung, um den Bewohnern bestm\u00f6gliche Pflegeleistungen anzubieten. Die Vermittlung von Logop\u00e4die, Ergotherapie und Krankengymnastik geh\u00f6rt genauso zum Angebot wie medizinische Fu\u00dfpflege und auf Wunsch Begleitung und Behandlung durch hom\u00f6opathische Heilverfahren. Die Beratung und Begleitung vor dem Heimeinzug ist den beiden Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrern Dieter Siems und Bernd Buderus genauso wichtig wie die seelsorgerische Begleitung.<\/p>\n<p>Pflegeheime haben eine gro\u00dfe Anzahl von Vorschriften und Gesetzen zu beachten. Der Heimtr\u00e4ger muss sicherstellen, dass die Zahl der Besch\u00e4ftigten und ihre pers\u00f6nliche und fachliche Eignung f\u00fcr die von ihnen zu leistende T\u00e4tigkeit ausreicht. Betreuende T\u00e4tigkeiten d\u00fcrfen nur durch Fachkr\u00e4fte oder unter angemessener Beteiligung von Fachkr\u00e4ften wahrgenommen werden. Mindestens die H\u00e4lfte der mit betreuenden T\u00e4tigkeiten beauftragten Besch\u00e4ftigten m\u00fcssen Fachkr\u00e4fte sein. In Pflegeheimen muss auch bei Nachtwachen mindestens eine Fachkraft st\u00e4ndig anwesend sein.<\/p>\n<p>Alle Voraussetzungen werden vom Sankt Niklas Pflegeheim erf\u00fcllt. Der &#8222;Medizinische Dienst der Krankenversicherungen (MDK)&#8220; und &#8222;Pr\u00fcfdienst des Verbandes der Privaten Krankenversicherungen e. V.&#8220; pr\u00fcfen regelm\u00e4\u00dfig alle zugelassenen Pflegeeinrichtungen. Die Bewohner selbst geben der Pflegeeinrichtung die Note 1.0 &#8211; sehr gut. Hier spiegelt sich das Pflegeverst\u00e4ndnis wider, das unabh\u00e4ngig von Gesundheit oder Krankheit auf den ganzen Menschen individuell ausgerichtet ist. Betreuung und Pflege richten sich nach den Bed\u00fcrfnissen und F\u00e4higkeiten, den Lebenserfahrungen und dem sozialen Umfeld. Die Mitarbeiter werden regelm\u00e4\u00dfig geschult, unter Ber\u00fccksichtigung des aktuellen Standards des Hauses.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif;\">Neben dem Sankt Niklas Pflegeheim wird auch die h\u00e4usliche Pflege angeboten. Seit 1994 f\u00fchrt ein Team von qualifizierten Mitarbeitern rund um die Uhr an allen Tagen der Woche die Betreuung in S\u00fcdlohn, Oeding, Stadtlohn, Vreden, Gescher und Weseke durch. Als Vertragspartner aller Kranken- und Pflegekassen werden sowohl Leistungen der Pflegeversicherung gem\u00e4\u00df der Pflegeeinstufung, sowie Behandlungspflege gem\u00e4\u00df \u00e4rztlicher Verordnung mit den Kostentr\u00e4gern zentral abgerechnet. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif;\">Im Rahmen einer umfassenden Versorgung werden die Patienten sowohl unter Ber\u00fccksichtigung ihrer individuellen, sozialen, kulturellen und religi\u00f6sen Bed\u00fcrfnisse als auch ihrer h\u00e4uslichen Situation gepflegt. Pflegende Angeh\u00f6rige werden angeleitet, beraten und begleitet.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif;\">Sowohl f\u00fcr die station\u00e4re Pflege im Sankt Niklas Pflegeheim als auch f\u00fcr die h\u00e4usliche Pflege gilt das Verst\u00e4ndnis der Pflege als Dienstleistung. Eine Dienstleistung, die an gesunden, kranken, alten und behinderten Menschen in deren Lebensspanne zwischen Geburt und Lebensende erbracht wird. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:
