Jahrhundert zur Schreinerei des Gro\u00dfvaters zur\u00fcck, der 1886 seinen Handwerksbetrieb in Stadtlohn gr\u00fcndete. Mit dem Namen &#8222;B. Thesing S\u00f6hne &amp; Terh\u00fcrne&#8220; taucht der Name Mitte der 1930-er Jahre erstmalig auf. In diese Welt wird Otger ter H\u00fcrne geboren und hilft schon als 12-j\u00e4hriger schwere Holzbl\u00f6cke von Z\u00fcgen abzuladen. Als gelernter Tischler geht er Mitte der 1940-er Jahre auf die klassische &#8222;Handwerker-Walz&#8220; durch Deutschland und tritt dann mit 26 Jahren in den elterlichen Betrieb in Stadtlohn ein.<\/p>\n<p>&#8222;Ich wollte mein eigener Herr sein, weil es meiner Mentalit\u00e4t entspricht&#8220; &#8211; mit diesen Worten hat Otger ter H\u00fcrne seine Motivation erl\u00e4utert, sich 1957 selbst\u00e4ndig zu machen und 1959 in S\u00fcdlohn das Industrieunternehmen Otger ter H\u00fcrne zu gr\u00fcnden. Seine Ziele waren hochgesteckt: er wollte ein Industrieunternehmen im Holzbereich aufbauen und nicht nur einen Handwerksbetrieb. 1958 kaufte Otger ter H\u00fcrne ein 3.600 qm gro\u00dfes Grundst\u00fcck und errichtete hier seine erste 900 qm gro\u00dfe Werkshalle. 1959 nimmt er mit f\u00fcnf Mitarbeitern die industrielle Produktion von T\u00fcrfuttern und Bekleidungen auf. Die ersten Jahre sind gepr\u00e4gt von echter Knochenarbeit. Otger ter H\u00fcrne war sich nicht zu schade, selbst in die Speichen zu greifen. Er war Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer, Betriebsleiter und Maschinenf\u00fchrer in einer Person. Der Anspruch des Unternehmens war es immer, technisch auf der H\u00f6he der Zeit zu sein.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Ernst Bennemann ist von 1965 bis 1968 als junger Industriekaufmann im Unternehmen besch\u00e4ftigt. Er erinnert sich daran, dass Otger ter H\u00fcrne w\u00e4hrend seiner 18-monatlichen Dienstzeit bei der Bundeswehr monatlich 100,00 DM auf sein Konto \u00fcberwiesen hat. Ohne Vertrag &#8211; einfach so f\u00fcrs Wiederkommen nach der Dienstzeit. Das war &#8222;das gesprochene Wort&#8220; von Otger ter H\u00fcrne.<\/p>\n<p>Ein Weggef\u00e4hrte der ersten Stunde war Bernhard Bone, der jede Schraube im Unternehmen kannte und immer wusste, was zu tun ist. Bernhard Bone lieferte mit dem ersten selbst verkleideten LKW die Waren aus &#8211; oft rund um die Uhr. T\u00fcrfutter und-Bekleidungen waren vom Markt gefragt, anstelle von materialintensiven Brettern setzte das Unternehmen auf Deckfurniere, die auf eine Mittellage aus Fichtenst\u00e4ben aufgebracht wurden. Der Grundstein f\u00fcr ausgepr\u00e4gte Oberfl\u00e4chen- und Furnierkompetenz ist gelegt.<\/p>\n<p>Kontinuierlich baute ter H\u00fcrne seinen Kundenkreis im Holzhandel aus. Anfang 1970 z\u00e4hlte das Unternehmen bereits 50 K\u00f6pfe. Zus\u00e4tzliche Produktions- und Lagerfl\u00e4chen wurden gebaut. Die Produktion wird umgestellt auf Echtholz furnierte Paneele f\u00fcr Wand und Decke. Technologische Kompetenz war schon immer das Leitmotiv von Otger ter H\u00fcrne. Hohe Investitionen werden nicht gescheut, die damals revulution\u00e4re &#8222;Fama-Sternpresse&#8220; erm\u00f6glicht eine enorme Effizienzsteigerung. Sp\u00e4ter wird die gesamte T\u00fcrenindustrie diese Technologie \u00fcbernehmen. ter H\u00fcrne entwickelt sich zum Systemanbieter f\u00fcr Wand, Decke und Boden, das Paneelgesch\u00e4ft erf\u00e4hrt einen wahren Boom.<\/p>\n<p>Die Technologien wurden permanent ausgebaut, neue Oberfl\u00e4chentechniken wurden eingef\u00fchrt. Die Oberfl\u00e4chengestaltung &#8211; auch in Verbindung mit Farbe &#8211; begr\u00fcndet den Ruf des Oberfl\u00e4chenspezialisten. ter H\u00fcrne entwickelt sich in den 1980-er Jahren durch die technologische Kompetenz in Verbindung mit richtungsweisenden Vermarktungsmethoden zum Marktf\u00fchrer f\u00fcr Echtholzvert\u00e4felungen.<\/p>\n<p>Vor allem zwei Themen pr\u00e4gen die Geschicke des Unternehmens in den 1990-er Jahren: Der Wechsel der Generationen an der F\u00fchrungsspitze und der Wandel vom Wand- und Deckenspezialisten zum vollstufigen Bodenanbieter. 1995 treten Bernhard und Erwin ter H\u00fcrne in der zweiten Generation in die Gesch\u00e4ftsleitung ein. Auf den reibungslosen \u00dcbergang des Unternehmens in die Verantwortung seiner S\u00f6hne ist Otger ter H\u00fcrne besonders stolz.<\/p>\n<p>Die M\u00e4rkte sind in Bewegung und unterliegen permanenten Ver\u00e4nderungen. Bernhard und Erwin ter H\u00fcrne agieren fr\u00fchzeitig mit Innovationen im Bodenbereich. Zun\u00e4chst mit dem &#8222;Furnierboden&#8220; und sp\u00e4ter mit Laminat und Parkett. Das Marketing wird neu ausgerichtet, ter H\u00fcrne wird eine &#8222;Marke&#8220;. Nicht nur Produkte bestimmen einen Markterfolg, das Marketing ist genauso wichtig. Ein umfassender Corporate Indentity (CI) Prozess unterst\u00fctzt die Markenbildung. Ebenso wichtig ist der Beginn der Internationalisierung des Unternehmens \u00fcber den deutschsprachigen Raum hinaus. An diese Aussage von Charles Darwin erinnert sich der Autor bei Erstellung der Biographie des Unternehmens ter H\u00fcrne. Die M\u00e4rkte haben sich seit der Unternehmensgr\u00fcndung stetig ver\u00e4ndert. Die Verantwortlichen des Unternehmens haben die Ver\u00e4nderungen gemeistert durch permanente Produktentwicklung. Oft genug nicht als Reaktion, sondern agierend schon im Vorfeld der Entwicklungen.<\/p>\n<p>ter H\u00fcrne ist Ausbildungsbetrieb &#8211; das sei selbstverst\u00e4ndlich, so die Aussage. Es gilt der Grundsatz, 10 % der Arbeitspl\u00e4tze f\u00fcr die Ausbildung zum Holzmechaniker oder Industriekaufmann zu ber\u00fccksichtigen. Heute sind rund 40 % der Mitarbeiter von ter H\u00fcrne ausgebildet worden. Viele feiern langj\u00e4hrige Jubil\u00e4en im Unternehmen.<\/p>\n<p>Der Firmengr\u00fcnder Otger ter H\u00fcrne ist am 21. Januar 2017 im Alter von 87 Jahren gestorben, er konnte auf ein erf\u00fclltes Leben zur\u00fcckblicken.
