Hochzeitsfoto von 1951<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Die Urspr\u00fcnge des Gasthauses Nagel lassen sich bis ins Jahr 1849 zur\u00fcckverfolgen. Im damaligen Haus Wiegbold Nr. 44 ist im Verzeichnis der Gast- und Schankwirtschaften im Amt S\u00fcdlohn der &#8222;Gastwirth Weiper&#8220; eingetragen. Der aus Raesfeld stammende Josef Nagel, der seit 1907 in S\u00fcdlohn wohnte, heiratete eine Tochter der Wirtin und beantragte im Juli 1929 eine Konzession f\u00fcr sein Haus am Kirchplatz 8. (1926 wurden in S\u00fcdlohn Stra\u00dfennamen eingef\u00fchrt, aus dem Standort &#8222;Wiegbold Nr. 44&#8220; wurde &#8222;Kirchplatz 8&#8220;)<\/p>\n<p>Alois Nagel (1916 &#8211; 1967) baute zusammen mit seiner Ehefrau Elisabeth Nagel geb. Schrieverhoff nach Entlassung aus der Kriegsgefangenschaft 1945 das elterliche Gasthaus neu auf. Die Wiederer\u00f6ffnung nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg erfolgte 1951. Wenige Jahre sp\u00e4ter, im Jahre 1955, wurde der bestehende Saal erweitert. 1979 wurde die Kegelbahn erbaut und der Saal wurde nochmals vergr\u00f6\u00dfert. Die beim Bau der Kegelbahn gefundenen Kanonenkugeln aus der Zeit des 30-j\u00e4hrigen Krieges befinden sich heute im Kaminzimmer der Gastst\u00e4tte. Einige Exemplare wurden der Gemeinde S\u00fcdlohn und dem Heimatverein S\u00fcdlohn \u00fcbergeben.<\/p>\n<p>Nach dem Tode von Alois Nagel im Jahre 1967 f\u00fchrte Elisabeth Nagel unter Mithilfe aller Kinder die Gastst\u00e4tte weiter bis im Jahre<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1773\" style=\"width: 227px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.heimatverein-suedlohn.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1773\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1773\" src=\"http:\/\/www.heimatverein-suedlohn.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/2-217x300.jpg\" alt=\"1979 - Josef und Beate Nagel\" width=\"217\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.heimatverein-suedlohn.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/2-217x300.jpg 217w, http:\/\/www.heimatverein-suedlohn.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/2.jpg 315w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 217px) 100vw, 217px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1773\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">1979 &#8211; Josef und Beate Nagel<\/p><\/div>\n<p>1979 der Sohn Josef Nagel die Gastst\u00e4tte \u00fcbernahm. Zusammen mit seiner Ehefrau Beate Nagel wurde das Gasthaus im Laufe der Jahre kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt. In einem benachbarten Haus wurde 1994 ein G\u00e4stehaus eingerichtet. Ein wesentlicher Schritt der Zukunftssicherung war das im Jahre 2001 erbaute neue 3-Sterne Hotel. Seitdem ist das Hotel &amp; Gasthaus Nagel nicht nur S\u00fcdlohnern G\u00e4sten bekannt. Ungez\u00e4hlte Gesch\u00e4ftsleute, Urlauber und Radwanderer sch\u00e4tzen die Gastfreundschaft im Hause Nagel.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-av_textblock-0366cc7376be6c9e82a3e9cc8987b64f'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Die Gesellschaftsr\u00e4ume und der Saal machen das Haus zu einer Tagungsst\u00e4tte und bietet Platz f\u00fcr gesellschaftliche Anl\u00e4sse jeder Art. Der Garten an der Sonnenseite S\u00fcdlohns sorgt Entspannung und Erholung in typischer Biergartenatmosph\u00e4re. Das fein-rustikale Restaurant des Hauses bietet nicht nur regionale Spezialit\u00e4ten, internationale K\u00f6stlichkeiten runden das kulinarische Angebot ab. 15 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter sorgen f\u00fcr das Wohl der G\u00e4ste.<\/p>\n<p>Treffpunkt Tresen: Der typisch westf\u00e4lische Thekenbetrieb geh\u00f6rt zur Tradition des Hauses und ist seit Jahrzehnten &#8222;Heimat&#8220; vieler S\u00fcdlohner Generationen. Ob gem\u00fctliches Feierabendbier oder das erleben sportlicher Ereignisse in gro\u00dfer Runde: Der Thekenbetrieb ist nicht nur Treffpunkt zur entspannten Unterhaltung.
